While taking an online course Reading in Russian, you will develop skills in reading comprehensive texts taken from different sources - including passages from classical Russian literature, newspaper articles, scientific texts, etc. Your virtual teacher will select learning materials to your liking and will adjust to your preferences in study of Russian culture through Russian literature. You may request that your teacher designs the course program for you depending on a specific field of Russian studies in which you major or specialize. Your Discover school's online instructor will select and arrange learning materials for you individually or for the group of learners you study with.
This course is a good continuation of study for those who have mastered the fundamentals of Russian language, studied basic grammar, vocabulary and language structures, and would like permanent improvement in their ability to read, communicate at advanced level and write in Russian. Students of this course develop skills in reading comprehensive texts of different fields including passages from classical Russian literature, newspaper articles, science etc.
You will discover new possibilities for yourself to read different texts fluently and discuss them in Russian. Due to the new language practice which you will acquire during the 2-month semester, you will improve ability to speak, express your opinions and discuss literature, culture and lifestyle of Russians.
